The SALT Women in Trades Conference Awards

Sydney 2019

In 2016, at the first Conference, we honoured the work done by women during the second world War. In 2018 the Longevity Award was introduced at the Brisbane Conference.

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the 2019 SALT Awards which also includes three brand new awards to celebrate the work being done across Australia:

NEW!   The Company Award is to celebrate the achievement of a company which has successfully implemented initiatives which result in actual increases of gender diversity in their trade workforce.

NEW!   The Rising Star Award is open to a woman who is in an apprenticeship or who has recently completed their apprenticeship (within two years of completion) and who has shown exceptional ability and teamwork.

NEW!   The Volunteers Award recognises the dedication of a SALT member in a volunteer capacity. This is the only award which requires the nominee to be a member of SALT (full, affiliated or social).

The Longevity Award celebrates a Tradeswoman who has been qualified in her trade for at least ten years but who has also extensively supported others in particular other women to enter the trades.

The Awards are now closed

The closing date for submissions is 27th September 2019.

All nominees must have a ticket for either the awards night or the full conference.
